Sister Friendship

Liv and Soph have been so cute together lately.  They have finally started playing with one another.  Most of the time, Sophia is the mommy and Liv is the baby.  While they were in this tent one day I heard Sophia ask Livvy if she wanted to nurse.  I jumped in at that point and suggested that they use the bottle.  It is so fun watching them enjoy one another and seeing them excited to see one another and play.  I pray that they continue to grow in their friendship.

We are working with Sophia on encouraging Livvy to do the right thing.  She tends to yell out, "Livvy, go to Mama" or "Livvy, don't hit me."  These are good things, but she makes sure that she says it loud enough for me to hear.  Lately I have heard her whisper to Livvy, "Go do the right thing, Livvy.  Obey Mama."  It is such a joy to see your kids not only do what you say, but also hearing them try and help others do the right thing in a gentle way.

Oscillate

I sent Sophia over to our fan to get her nails dried after I painted them and she said, "Mom, is the fan on oscillate?"  I looked at her and said, "Do you even know what that means?"  She said, "Ya.  It means to swing back and forth."

This kid is too much.

Copy Cat

Me: Sophia, I love how you have been playing with Livvy lately. She copies and follows everything you do. Thank you for being patient with her. She wants to be like you.

Sophia: Yep, just like we should want to be like God.

Me: That was exactly what I was about to say.

She beat me to it....AGAIN.

Pretty Plain

Sophia: Mom, are you going to wear that? You look pretty....plain.

Me: (Raised eyebrow and look of "Are you being serious right now? Life isn't all about fashion.")

Sophia: But, that's....okay....(mumble, mumble).

Looks like we need to read 1 Peter 3. I will give her credit for her correct analysis of my outfit, but she didn't have to say it.

God's Words

Me: We need to make sure that we listen to God's words and not man's words.

Sophia: Yes, but if someone is teaching God's words we should listen to them.

Stephen and Sheerah's

We got to go to our friends, Stephen and Sheerah's, wedding.  It was at their little house in Coronado and it turned out just perfect.  We are so happy for them!

The Dad's of the bride and groom held hands in the middle of the ceremony and it was so sweet.
